It's been three days since we made the move to Kentucky and so far we are really liking it. We are temporarily living in a two bedroom townhouse owned by the college. It pretty nice, about as much room as our old house had, but we are looking forward to having our own place again soon. We have looked at a few houses in the area and have found one that we really like. We have to close on our house in Moberly at the end of the month and get approved for a loan and then we will probably try to buy it.Jack started his new job yesterday and is looking forward to getting started working on the Asbury College website. His office is in the Kinlaw Library on campus. While he was working, Kirsten and I had a good time together. It was nice and sunny here Friday so we went for a walk around Wilmore, it's a beautiful town. I took her to a little park just down the road from us. She got to swing and go down a slide, she had lots of fun with her first park experience.
We got our Kentucky driver's licenses today...so we are officially residents of the Horse Capital of the World :)
We have explored the nearby cities, went to Wal-mart three times in three days, and eaten at some of our favorite restuarants that Moberly didn't have. We have a Little Ceasar's and a Chick-fil-A and lots of other different places only a few minutes from our house. Yum!
Tomorow we are going to church at Southland Christian Church, it's an independent Christian mega-church just down the road from us.
